Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller - (Hattiesburg, MS)

Job description We filled this position less than a year ago and the person has already been promoted , which is what created the opening. Position is with a well established, growing and profitable company with numerous divisions. The preferred candidate will have 4-7 years of accounting related experience and be someone who is bright and capable of uming additional responsibility. Will supervise two accountants and several clerical employees in the accounting department of an operation approaching $100 million in annual revenue. Will handle financial reporting, various types of analysis projects, forecasting, budgets, and in general will work with improving financial systems to allow for better management of the company by giving top managers more and better financial tools for improved decision making. Must be proficient with personal computers and have sound decision-making skills. Prefer candidates from the deep south region of MS, AL, LA. MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
