Packaging Design Engineer - (Clifton Park, NY)

Summary of Role : GLOBAL FOUNDRIES Advanced Silicon packaging is seeking skilled and motivated experienced Packaging design engineer in Malta, New York or Hopewell Junction, NY. The main responsibility of this position is to execute the end to end design processes needed to release advanced test-site laminate designs and/or oversee third party design resources and laminate suppliers to manage the external design and manufacture of FCPBGA or 2D/2.5D/3D/MCM laminates. More specifically, the engineer is responsible for laminate, interposer (2.5D), 3D design, and card design as an advanced packaging designer. The responsibility includes a team leader role working with an application engineer and an external design house to deliver high qualify advanced package designs for technology and product development. Responsibilities: ?• Designing and developing integrated circuit packages using electrical engineering package design software such as Allegro Package Designer (APD).
