Assistant Director of Finance - (Hampton, VA)

Position: Assistant Director of Finance Department: Finance Reports To: Director of Finance Compensation range: 83,408 : 108,431 The Assistant Director of Finance assists the Director of Finance in managing the Accounting Department and supervising staff within the department. Strong leadership skills, excellent analytical and analytical abilities, expertise to work and interact with departments throughout the organization, exceptional written and oral communication expertise. Essential Job Functions: (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor to limit duties that might reasonably be assigned.) Supervises and directs the work activities of Accounting Staff. Assists the Director of Finance with the preparation of financial reports such as monthly balance sheet, income statement, report on changes in financial position and budget variances. Assists with establishing and implementing agency:wide accounting policies, procedures, work standards, and controls for payroll and fixed assets.
