Responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager: Collaborate together with the project managers to determine what is needed on a construction project Use email to send bid invitations to contractors and manage bid deadlines Make many phone calls daily to contractors regarding their invitation to bid Manage compliance; i.e. certificates of insurance, W9's, permits, lien waivers, etc. Keep lists of resources updated Clearly communicate updates to the project managers Requirements for the Assistant Project Manager: Background working in the construction industry in the office Strong attention to detail Can read blueprints/building plans Solid skills in Ms excel, Ms word and Outlook Strong management expertise Expertise to prioritize work and meet deadlines Outgoing and thrives in a busy environment
