Research Scientist in Experimental Data Analytics - (Oak Ridge, TN)

Overview: We are seeking an outstanding research staff member for efforts for data analytics and modeling of experimental imaging of electronic structure, dynamics and bonding. This position resides in the Computational Chemical and Materials Sciences group of the Computational Science and Engineering Division, Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate, and will be very closely integrated with the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS), Physical Sciences Directorate (PSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). As part of our research team you will advance the development of 4D:Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) and CBED (convergent beam electron diffraction) to map the electronic structure and properties of bonds within materials. This requires combining computationally intensive simulations and modeling with large scale data analysis.
