Cook - (Chicago, IL)

Shiftgig is a mobile app (available for iPhone or Android) that connects you with hourly work around your city. Simply download the Shiftgig app to apply. We're currently looking for cooks to work a variety events such as banquets, corporate parties/locations, stadium events, and more. Common cook assignments include setting up stations, food prep, cooking and preparing plates, maintaining a sanitary working environment (may include clean up), other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager/Executive Chef. In order to be a cook with Shiftgig, you must: Have at least 6 months background as a cook in a food service or hospitality setting. Expertise to work in a fast pace environment while abiding by all Food & Safety Regulations. Shiftgig Specialists (what we call our workers) use the Shiftgig App to pick-up shifts; All Specialists are required to have a smartphone.
