job overview: SUMMARY: A manufacturer of musical equipment on the South Shore is in need of a contract Accounts Receivable and Collections Accountant to join their team on a 4-6 week project basis. The Accounts Receivable Accountant plays a critical role within the Finance team and is responsible for ensuring incoming payment are accurately recorded to ensure the financial health of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, your duties will include: Accounts Receivable: Post all cash receipts · Process the daily invoices and credits, as well as credit cards Create and monitor aging reports Issue monthly account statements You will also be responsible for credit and collections tasks, which can include: Monitor all accounts to assure timely payments Collect on past due accounts Track and report performance measures such as DSO, past dues and bad debts Calculate monthly AR Reserve Review and approve customer sales orders ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
