position summary: Staff Accountant needed for corporate office in Scottsdale. location: Scottsdale, Arizona position category: Contract salary: $22 - 24 per hour work hours: eight to 5 education: High-school background: two years responsibilities: Responsibilities: Responsible for reconciling and analyzing general ledger activities including fixed assets, taxes, insurance, banking, financing and equipment leasing. Assist in the monthly close process. Assist in the preparation and filing of various state and local tax returns. Prepare, post and file monthly journal entries. This includes reversing, recurring and cost allocations. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts. Provide support to our Operating Units. Perform special projects as needed. Process daily cash deposits. Application of cash received to open receivables as determined by vendor backup. Work with vendors and Corporate Merchandising to reconcile customer aging.
