Community organizer - (Milwaukee, WI)

Northwest Side CDC is seeking a qualified individual to join its community development team in coordinating anti-crime and other community organizing activities in NSP Areas 1, 3 and 4 on Milwaukee's northwest side. Expertise to communicate, organize and transmit the values and goals of neighborhood residents is a must. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Organize block and stakeholder groups around specific objectives such as safety, beautification, and quality of life standards in designated neighborhood strategic planning areas. Create strategic partnerships with the Milwaukee Police Department, the Milwaukee County DA Prosecution Unit, City Departments, elected officials, Community groups, Churches, businesses, other nonprofit and stakeholder groups to ensure the reduction of crime, increases in quality of life and housing stock Connect with resources to connect with neighborhood residents and stakeholders, where lack-of, advocate for increased resources in NSP Areas.
