EH&S - Waste Water Technician - 3rd Shift - (North Jackson, OH)

Scope: The Environmental Technician will work with the following equipment: resin columns, regeneration system, filter press, clarifier, sand filter, pH meters, equalization systems, pumps, mixers, bag filters, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and other waste treatment equipment. An Environmental Technician has the responsibility of operating the waste treatment system under routine and non-routine conditions. Will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily position qualifications. Technicians will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training. Duties and Responsibilities: - Expertise to drive a forklift, or be certified within 90 days - Maintain Process equipment by replacement of Cu Balls/Anodes - Empty the filter press and transfer cake to sludge boxes - Complete metal precipitation / treatment by batch treatment
