Purchasing Agent/Logistics Coordinator - (Eugene, OR)
The purchasing agent serves in a diverse role in the materials department assuring that overall purchasing and supply chain objectives meet company requirements. The job functions include, but are not limited to, transit coordination and vendor management, processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfillment. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Develop profitable purchasing strategies Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with terms of contracts Analyze and resolve purchasing issues/discrepancies Assist in review of suppliers to ensure quality Monitor stock levels Report data as requested by the Purchasing Manager to assess, analyze and track vendor performance
