Shalmet, based in Orwigsburg, Pa., specializes in coil-to-coil, coil-to-bar, bar-to-bar, and hollow bar processing of stainless, superalloys, titanium, carbon and alloy steels, aluminum and other nonferrous materials. Shalmet was acquired by Carpenter Technology Corporation in 1997 and operates within the corporation's Specialty Alloys Operations division. MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Positions Available: two Location : Orwigsburg, PA PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible for providing mechanical support and maintaining mechanical components throughout the manufacturing plant. This includes, but not limited to, troubleshooting and repairs; cooperating with and supporting operations; aggressively pursuing process improvements; assisting with documentation and training for all equipment. Must be able to function safely in a fast-paced environment and be responsible to maintain equipment in a craftsman-like manner. Expertise to work in conjunction with other maintenance crafts, engineering and production personnel.
