Building Commissioner - (Independence, OH)

BUILDING COMMISSIONER The City of 7 Hills is seeking applicants who are qualified for the position of BUILDING COMMISSIONER. The City seeks an experienced and energetic professional. Supervisor: The position is appointed by the Mayor, with Council approval, and reports to the Mayor of 7 Hills. Responsibilities and Duties: The Building Commissioner is responsible for all administrative functions necessary in directing the operations of the Building Department, including all commercial and residential construction inspections and determining violations of the city zoning code and building code. The Building Department controls inspection of sewer and gas lines and the connections of same to facilities, plan review, overseeing inspectors and office personnel. The Building Commissioner must attend City Planning, Zoning, and Caucus and Council meetings as required.
