Requires past transgenic model (rodent) genotyping background to select, develop and implement ays to genotype transgenic mice for may projects supporting a wide ortment of research projects. Requirements: *** Ability to independently analyze and determine genotyping requirements. *** Work background select and sourcing ays as well as developing new ays. *** Background evaluating and validating custom ays and new techniques. *** Desire to troubleshoot and improve current ay methods. Requires BS-MS level scientist generally educated in genotyping methods such as: restriction fragment length polymorphism identification; random amplified polymorphic detection; amplified fragment length polymorphism detection, polymerase chain reaction, DNA sequencing, allele specific oligonucleotide probes, and hybridization to DNA microarrays or beads.
