ONLY EMPLOYEES OF THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION. This is a Biological Scientist III position within the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. The incumbent will provide communicable disease investigation services, applying the principles of epidemiology and biostatistics in case:finding, assessment, epidemiological determination, planning, and intervention to control the spread of disease. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent works to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases including, but not limited to: vaccine:preventable diseases, health care:associated infections and other diseases of public health significance as time allows.
