UNIX / Linux Engineer. The midrange UNIX team with our Columbus, Ohio client is responsible for the administration and support of UNIX and Linux systems. They are seeking a contract UNIX / Linux Engineer to be a team player of a group that provides 7x24 support for HP-UX, HP Alpha, Sun Solaris, Novell SLES Linux, and IBM P-Series UNIX systems. Responsibilities: Support includes troubleshooting hardware, OS and software infrastructure components, facilitating vendor replacement/upgrades of failed hardware and escalating problems and communicating with appropriate support and development teams and customers. Will be part of on-call rotation schedule for primary/secondary contact for major production issues.
