Grant Writer and Donor Specialist - (Clearwater, FL)

The Grant Writer and Donor Specialist is responsible for taking leadership on several department initiatives, including: research and completion of new business proposals (grants, RFPs, ITNs); donor relations and development; fundraising research and market trends; sponsor recruitment and direct fundraising support of large semi-annual events; and other administrative tasks and functions related to the Marketing and Business Development department of Directions for Living. This position mandates a high-level of independent judgment in reviewing and evaluating possible sources of funds. There is a high-level of responsibility for meeting communicated goals which directly impact the financial status of the business. This position exercises discretion in decision making on a daily basis to select, prepare and coordinate the grants and donor process.
