Merchandise Claims & Control Associate - (Marine City, MI)

Jobs in this category are responsible for accumulating and processing items that are returned by customers and those authorized for return to vendors for credit. In addition, will verify the correctness of return classifications used by associates, perform applicable system maintenance, and pack ship items to correct destinations. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority * Monitors shrink; takes appropriate action to minimize waste * Makes eye contact, smile and greet all customers that come within ten feet of you * Assists store associates in receiving Distribution Center (DC) deliveries * Ensures that food safety guidelines in storage and processing procedures are being adhered to as well as processes refrigerated goods and restaurant goods in a timely manner * Keeps current on preprinted 620 and type B Genco returns * Ensures that all Genco-eligible merchandise has Universal Product Code (UPC) scan labels * Makes sure merchandise area is organized and
