position description: Our client is the largest manufacturing company of it's kind in the world. They are seeking Mechanical Engineers to add to their growing workforce. Individuals are expected to design and expand product line. Strong ability in mechanism design, particularly with gearbox, motor, and linkage setups. Our designs often include electric, pneumatic or hydraulic motors; Air or hydraulic cylinders; Control systems Strong ability in industrial design for ergonomics and aesthetics. Our machines need to look sharp, modern, and clean, they also need to be easy to use/maneuver in the hand Current knowledge in materials, particularly stainless steels, aluminums, castings, sheet metal - this will help make optimized choices for elegant solutions Expected to have knowledge of mechanisms: bearings, presses, etc. Shop models in ProE, and fabricate virtually all designs in house; Doesn't need to have ProE, just understanding and ability to navigate related software such as: Autocad, SolidWorks, etc.
