Assistant Attorney General - Public Safety Section (Habeas) - (Jefferson City, MO)

The Missouri Attorney General's Office is seeking an attorney to serve in the Habeas Unit of its Public Safety Division. Applicants should have an interest in criminal law, legal writing, and appellate work. The attorney will practice in state and federal trial and appellate courts. The practice will include evidentiary hearings before trial judges and oral arguments in appellate courts. Applicants should have graduated in the top 30% of their law school class; have excellent research, writing and communication abilities; have a strong commitment to public service; and be licensed to practice law in Missouri.
