Bankruptcy Associate Attorney - (Leesburg, VA)

Leesburg office of our client seeks bankruptcy associate attorney with 3-7yrs of background. The applicant will develop and share subject matter ability with clients, partners and members of the firm. Timely advise clients and staff on file-specific legal matters. Continuously improve and stay current with the law impacting our clients and the practice. Develop knowledge to assist the managing bankruptcy attorneys with training staff and/or clients. Develop knowledge to handle Chapter 7, Chapter 12, and Chapter thirteen cases as they pertain to the role of secured creditors (both real and personal property). Acquire basic knowledge of Chapter 11. Handle mid-level escalated/litigated matters with guidance of senior bankruptcy attorney. Acquire knowledge of underlying non-bankruptcy law and procedures, such as foreclosure and eviction, in the jurisdictions in which the attorney is admitted. Conduct PACER reviews to determine whether foreclosure may proceed.
