Mill Metallurgist Job - (Blytheville, AR)

Invent, initiate, and conduct new product development with emphasis on developing the grades and processing. Spearhead trials for new products and establish qualifications for mill. Coordinate with small, cross-functional teams spanning operations, commercial, technical and quality groups. Lead projects pertinent to productivity & quality improvements. Work with Sales/Technical Sales to specify correct steel grade and routing for application. Follow new trials to customer production units. Understand part/product qualifications and machine limitations of applications. Track new part/product trials at customers. Provide feedback to operating departments with results and improvements. Work with customers on cost savings initiatives. Investigate and analyze product properties. Train personnel in Metallurgical Testing Laboratory principles.
