The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a work leader, to provide training, certification and knowledge of an aircraft sheet metal mechanic working directly with journeymen and non-journeymen performing all tasks assigned to an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. Responsibilities Provides guidance and passes on to others instructions received from supervisor and gets work started. Examines aircraft sheet metal structures to locate cracks, breaks, holes, bulges, dents, and loose or missing rivets. Uses basic hand and power tools such as hammers, chisels, hand snips, band and circle saws, squaring sheers, seamers, bar folders, brakes, and stakes. Works as an expert to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform all aspects of an aircraft sheet metal mechanic leader.Travel Required
