The primary purpose of this position, WG-5716-08 ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORKER), is to operate engineering and construction equipment and perform functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials; and construct, maintain, and repair rigid and flexible pavements, roads, and runways. Responsibilities Operate 1 or more types of heavy equipment to push, pull, pile, or load materials such as sand, gravel, earth, coal, moving and covering refuse, and clearing bush, rocks, tree stumps, and other material. Maintain, repair, and construct flexible roads, pavements parking areas, airdromes, bike paths, or similar surfaces of asphalt. Maintain, repair and construct rigid pavements or similar cement and concreate surfaces.
