Position description Position title: Buyer Reports To: Purchasing Manager Status: Exempt Purpose: Procures materials and/or services to support the companys purchasing programs assigned. Essential Job duties: : Manages and leads the Companys purchasing activity for the assigned categories of materials, services, fixed assets, tooling, etc. : Ensures products and services ordered are secured at the lowest available cost with quality and delivery at competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards. : Negotiate the terms for the purchase of materials, equipment and services from suppliers.
