Senior Sourcing Consultant : Professional Services (Contract Position) - (Oakland, CA)

Position description Strategic Procurement Solutions seeks to contract with an experienced consultant to support an 6 mnth engagement, analyzing spending, developing RFx packages, and negotiating agreements and SOWs with key suppliers on behalf of a large organization with a work location in the Oakland California area. Work will be performed onsite. Qualifications: * 15+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing background, preferably in acquisition of technical and advisory services (consulting, engineering, R and D, finance, technology, etc.). * Proven history of significant annual cost reductions in past decade, within a corporate procurement organization practicing strategic sourcing and/or category management modeling related to Professional Services expenditures. * Strong issue solving abilities required; including being a whiz with Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, etc. * Strong team skills. * Previous consulting background desirable, but not required.
