General Summary: The focus of the Claims Analyst position is to ensure that all billing and claims have the required documentation in the chart as part of the Clean Claim Review (CCR) and Medicaid Event Verification (MEV) processes. The Claims Analyst ensures that all billings and claims are acceptable according to local, state, and federal qualifications. Required functions: Ensures that all billing and claims are submitted with supporting documentation. Ensures that supporting documentation for all billing and claims are in the electronic medical record (EMR). Actively checks supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Navigates the EMR to ensure all billing and claims are made against active treatment plans. Identifies discrepancies in duration of services or units utilized by checking documentation against a claim. Maintains current expertise of local, state, federal, and accreditation qualifications for service codes, billing, and claims.
