Press helper - 1st shift 6 am - 2 pm 19-0216 - (Frederick, MD)

This position is regularly scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 am - 2 pm. SUMMARY Assists Press Operators with materials, make-readies and wash-ups. Responsible for ensuring all materials are ready prior to set up. Absorbs details from operators and supervisors in order to advance to a Press Operator position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following prioritized and categorized duties. Other duties may be assigned. Quality Control Checks for color of ink after mixing to ensure proper match Marks rolls with proper weight Keeps wrappers for Sheet-Fed stock for identification of stock being returned to inventory Ensures ink mixer and nearby locations are kept clean and free of contaminations Checks conductivity of fountain solution before filling drums or tanks Keeps shop clean and organized with a focus on increasing productivity and keeping the machines running.
