Director of Development - (Milwaukee, WI)

The Director of Development is responsible for securing annual financial support by working with business and community leaders and Scout leaders and parents. The position serves as the primary contact for funding relationships with major supporters including endowment donors, foundations and the United Way. Leads fundraising efforts including the council?s annual campaign, special events, foundations, project sales and direct mail efforts. Leads the council?s marketing strategy including public relations and communications. Supervises a team of 4 employees including the Development Director, Special Events Coordinator, Marketing & Graphics Specialist and Administrative Assistant. Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Min 5yrs of development-related experience, preferably including fundraising and special events.
