Classification/Compensation Consultant - Colorado State University - (Fort Collins, CO)

Colorado State University s Human Resources Department seeks a Human Resources professional to join the HR team as a Classification/Compensation Consultant. The Classification/Compensation Consultant is an integral part of the job evaluation (classification and compensation) process for both Administrative Professional (at-will) and State Classified employees. The position participates in the development, implementation, and administration of position category and compensation programs to ensure competitive, equitable and market-based opportunities for employees in support of University goals and objectives. The Classification/Compensation unit oversees the classification of positions; determines FLSA exemption status; provides guidance to campus HR liaisons on development of position descriptions; and is the HR expert skilled in analyzing, evaluating, monitoring, and extrapolating results to manage the University Compensation program.
