For more info about Dr. Barrett's Lab, please visit: The Research Associate I will provide technical support related to the preparation and analysis of laboratory specimens and conduct laboratory research under the direction of the PI or research staff studying a \"disease in a dish\" model of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The aim of this research is to use intestinal organoids to elucidate some of the mechanisms involved with this disease. To achieve those goals our ongoing research projects involves induced pluripotent stem cell generation and maintenance, intestinal organoid generation and maintenance and their subsequent characterization . This position will require significant amounts of cell culture along with tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, western blot analysis and qtPCR.
