Overview The Medical Director is involved in assessing, planning, linking, monitoring, and advocating for each patient assigned to the clinicians with specific departments. Develops and conducts programs to provide education for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences. Responsible for the comprehensive delivery of quality mental health care specific to hospital protocols. Medical Director is responsible for the provision of mental health services at the hospital. Requirements Education: Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) from an accredited university. Background: Seven Years of professional experience in providing services to persons with psychiatric disabilities, 2 years of which must have been at the administrative clinical level, assistant director or its equivalent.
