The Stevens County Attorney s Office is a small four-person office consisting of the County Attorney, the Assistant County Attorney, an Office Manager/Legal Assistant, and a Victim Witness Coordinator. It is a full time office located in the Stevens County Courthouse. The office handles all County Attorney work as well as contracted work with all the cities in Stevens County. Duties of the Assistant County Attorney include criminal prosecution, child and adult protection, juvenile delinquencies and truancies, civil commitment, guardianship, child support, appeals, land use and zoning, advising all county departments and contracted cities on civil legal matters and all other statutorily required work. Work is performed under the general supervision of the County Attorney. Starting Compensation range: $60,652.80 to $70,324.80, depending upon requirements. Advancement up to $81,515.20.
