Process Mechanic - (Hermiston, OR)

* Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. Assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups. Abides by all company work, safety, and hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. * Performs routine and/or non-routine checks and preventive maintenance tasks established by the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Team Leader Maintenance, Team Leader Area Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Production and the Maintenance Lead. * May be required to perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision. * Keeps documentation up to date. * Familiar with proper start-up and shut down of processing equipment * Performs equipment repair, overhaul, and trouble shooting of equipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, etc. * Evaluates equipment for performance, performs adjustments, replaces parts, etc. as needed to assure uninterrupted processing of quality potato products.
