Senior Scientist I, Cell Culture: Bioreactor Modeling and Simulation (West - (West Springfield, MA)

A senior scientist position is available within the Cell Culture group of the Process Sciences Department at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA. The group is responsible for developing and supporting cell culture manufacturing processes for early and late phase clinical programs. We strive for speedy delivery of quality processes that are high yield, manufacturing friendly, robust and have desirable product quality attributes. The group interacts closely with other development groups, along with Manufacturing and Discovery. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative scientist who will lead bioreactor modeling in our lab. Critical responsibilities: Develop and implement different categories of models (structured, unstructured, etc.) to simulate the dynamics of cell culture bioreactors and guide process development. Execute laboratory cell culture experiments as part of process development and process characterization to validate model findings and guide model development.
