Quality Engineer - (Woburn, MA)

Position summary Contract position, expected to last 4-6 mnths. The position is part time, 1 day a week, at 3 different suppliers (total of three days per week). Responsibilities The Field Supplier Quality Engineer is generally responsible for maintaining smooth operations at a materials supplier which includes: Analyzing processes affecting product quality and making recommendations for correcting and preventing creation of defective product. Assisting the supplier in implementation of controls at a supplier location as directed by the client. Identifying nonconforming products, processes and adverse trends through inspection, investigation and data analysis. Inspecting product, investigating, analyzing and correcting problems in quality that result in potential escapes from the supplier s facility. Performing audits and implementing new strategies as directed by the client.
