Design Engineer - (Leominster, MA)

Job summary GENERAL DESCRIPTION Create 3d part models for custom thermoforming. Model specifications will be based on customer qualifications. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Tasks to include: Design part models and assorted tooling components in Solidworks CAD software. Create and dimension product blueprints for internal and customer review. Proficiency in 2d Autocad or equivalent is desirable. Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers is desirable. Collaborate together with our internal staff and salespeople to create designs that meet or exceed customer expectations. Must acquire a detailed knowledge of our thermoforming production processes. Provide engineering support to the manufacturing department when requested. Must acquire an understanding of industrial automation as related to our products. Communicate with tooling vendors when required. Keep up to date with technological developments related to their process.
