RN - Operating Room (Full time-Days/Evenings) - (Davis, CA)

Position description: The RN has primary accountability for patient outcomes. Requirements: Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. Current California RN licensure or interim permit to practice registered nursing. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Background: Acute care background is preferred. Knowledge: Demonstrate basic medical/surgical nursing skills. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrate basic knowledge of unit specific age criteria for patient population is preferred. Special Skills/Equipment: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 'for health care provider.' Self-directed in coordinating the care plan for patient care delivery. Completion of hospital orientation the RN must be able to: Demonstrates skill and knowledge of Accudata. Demonstrate knowledge of phlebotomy (i.e., venipuncture/capillary puncture). Demonstrate knowledge of community resources, legal policies relating to patient decisions and outcomes.
