Senior Scientist I, Protein Analytics (Lowell,MA) - (Lowell, MA)

AbbVie is searching for a highly motivated individual to fill a Sr. Scientist I position in the Protein Analytics group at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester MA. The Protein Analytics Department is responsible for the development, qualification and execution of analytical methods to provide product and process understanding for biological entities from discovery through commercial stages. The applicant will be part of the Biomolecular Interactions Group within Protein Analytics that is mainly focused on method development and implementation of various immunoassays to monitor process impurities and to assess potency of AbbVie's Biologics. Some other techniques/methods utilized in the group include 1) surface plasmon resonance using Biacore for assessment of antigen binding and binding of antibody Fc receptors; 2) qPCR to measure levels of residual DNA and mycoplasma and 3) SDS-PAGE/immunoblots.
