Mechanical Drafter - (San Diego, CA)

Position summary The successful applicant will operate as a member of the Corporate Mechanical Engineering department drafting team. Assignments include creating and updating solid models of electro-mechanical components, creating and modifying part and assembly drawings, releasing documents to Configuration Management system, and incorporating Engineering Change Orders. Interface with internal staff in the fast-paced execution of a variety of multi-disciplined projects. Create 3-D CAD models of off-the-shelf electro-mechanical components. Create 2-D engineering drawings for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies, labels, cables, and circuit board assemblies. Create and modify circuit card mechanical constraints drawings, including SMT fabrication panel information. Create circuit card assembly drawings from CAD data. Release documents and BOMs to configuration management system. Incorporate ECOs in configuration management system.-Request part numbers from configuration management system.
