Requirements for Habilitation Specialist are as follows: Bachelors Degree in related position One Year background in moderate, severe, profound developmental disabilities population Good communication expertise, both oral and written Excellent people skills Expertise to work well within a team environment Must have or be eligible for Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional designation CPR and 1st aid certification required Must have current Ohio drivers license and be eligible for auto insurance in order to drive company vehicles Job duties: Develops, monitors and implements habilitation goals for assigned residents Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and functions as an active team player Instructs Unit Managers and Direct Care staff in proper programming methods
