Family Counselor- Drug Court Program - (Orlando, FL)
SCOPE: The In-Home Family Support Counselor will provide ongoing assessment and treatment interventions in the Drug Court participant's home. These services will be designed to help improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family in order to deepen family connections and cope with stress. In-Home Family Support Specialists will conduct Individual and Family sessions and will be available to directly participate in case staffing (bi-weekly) either in person or via telephone. Counselors are responsible for entering info to track a client's treatment attendance and progress into the Florida Drug Court Case Management System (DCCMS) used by OCADC. KEY FUNCTIONS: one Provide substance abuse (and mental health) assessment and intake of clients as prescribed by the program and work with the Drug Court Team to ensure appropriate level of care is identified. Work with the clients and protective service to provide urinalysis.
