Quality Control Drafter - (Tampa, FL)

The Quality Control Drafter is responsible for oversight of quality standards as well as communication and coordination with customers and Engineering department personnel. Key responsibilities: Compare designed and drafted inside plant and outside plant work packages against field survey details to ensure that all notes have been incorporated into final design Review work package to ensure the design meets all internal and customer required standards regarding aesthetics, material use, splicing rules and cost efficiency Interface with customer to resolve basic design concerns Work with supervisory staff to establish new standards and rules when encountering roadblocks and challenges Identify and inform supervisory staff of common problem areas that may require team training in order to rectify Serves as a resource of details for Designer/CAD Drafters providing guidance and suggestions to improve accuracy and efficiency Educate co-workers when repeat errors are encountered to ensure future compliance
