CNC Machinist Programmer - (Gardena, CA)

Job summary SUMMARY Set up and operate CNC lathes, 3,4 and five axis mills, routers and water jet machine tools. Conventional machine tool experience desired. Production includes precision aerospace machined components, rocket motor components, nozzle assemblies, and other flight hardware; carbon/carbon composites and tooling; carbon/carbon brakes, clutches and racing prototypes; developmental components and assemblies; and other composite hardware as required. Assignments include manual tooling fabrication (metal and composite) for lay-up, machining and assembly fixtures utilizing conventional and CNC machines and machining procedures. Assists Engineering and Programming departments in new tooling concept and design. Modify existing tooling as required to maximize productivity and quality.
