Warehouse (Full Time) - (South Bend, IN)

JOB OBJECTIVE: To maintain the warehouse in an orderly and organized condition under direction of Transportation Supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Load and unload trucks. 2. Unload cages and sort material as required for warehousing. 3. Move material as required, using pallet jack or forklift. 4. Accurately prepare and process salvage materials for shipment. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintain general good housekeeping and cleanliness of warehouse as required. 2. Fill-in to cover Truck Helper position and other jobs as necessary. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Expertise to read and write clearly. 2. Expertise to accurately weigh material. 3. Expertise to bend, stoop and work on feet eight hours per day. 4. Expertise to operate pallet jack and forklift if properly trained. 5. Expertise to move 70 lb barrels. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 1. Light Industrial area with significant dust. EQUIPMENT USED: 1. Floor scales 2. Tin Shears 3. Pallet jack and Forklift 4. Shovel and broom
