Research Scientist Level I - (New York, NY)

Seeking a flexible and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Research Scientist Level I to become an integral member of a lab team in the Department of Psychiatry working on deciphering the causes and pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia. This project will involve laboratory work, such as examining cellular phenotypes and working with Crisp-Cas9 gene editing techniques. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop human induced pluripotent stem cell models for 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome and SETD1 mutations, both of which are strongly associated with the development of schizophrenia. Min Requirements: Have to have at least three years of postdoctoral work background. Preferred Requirements: Specific ability with human induced pluripotent stem cells (hIPSCs) and Crisp-Cas9 gene editing. Salary: $52,298 plus $3,026 location pay.
