GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Research Scientist, Sr will provide scientific support, management, and day-to-day operation of the Cryo-EM Core Facility. The applicant will collaborate with and support researchers from across the campuses and guest institutions, by providing support and guidance in experimental design, data collection, data quality control, and computational analysis as well as assisting in detailed structural analyses of biological macromolecules and complexes. Under the general direction of the Principle Investigator, the Senior Research Scientist performs a variety of complex research experiments laboratory research on topics pertinent to the interests of the research programs of the laboratory. Major reponsibilities include- Oversee the daily operation of the Cryo-EM Core Facility instruments. Design and implement data collection methods and strategies for specific research projects Responsible for data acquisition and data quality control Assist users to prepare cryo-EM specimen.
