Veterinary Technician – Ophthalmology Ophthalmology – North Andover, Ma – Full-time Summary: The ophthalmology department is looking to hire a Veterinary Technician to join our busy ophthalmology department. An ophthalmology technician works closely with the ophthalmologist to assist in their surgical and medical treatment of eye problems. They will provide support and customized care of our ophtho client and patients. Responsibilities: Assist with consults in the exam rooms Take history, perform STT, evaluate PLR, conduct preliminary evaluation of anterior chamber and notify the doctor of any irregularities Perform tonometry, fluorescein stain and dilate Record info in client/patient medical record during exam Present treatment plans and explain procedures to clients as needed Explain medications, discharge instructions and treatments with the owners to assure they understand the doctor’s instructions Assist with ophthalmologic procedures
