Casualty Claims Adjuster - (Appleton, WI)

Northeast Wisconsin - Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac - Location flexible within the state. Rural Mutual Insurance Company has a great opportunity for an experienced casualty claims adjuster to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, experienced, and outgoing claims adjuster that will be equipped to work from home in northeast Wisconsin. $55,000 - $70,000/year based on background. Responsibilities: • Investigate, evaluate, and conclude settlements on assigned claims. • Conduct coverage verification. • Supervise outside counsel in the course of the insured’s defense in liability claim lawsuits. • Determine appropriate reserve levels on claims totaling up to $10 million reserved with assistance from Director of Claims or VP of Claims. • Participate in weekly claim committee meetings (as needed). • Attend mediations, depositions, and jury trials when required.
