Claims Representative Responsible for adjusting automobile or homeowners claims within delegated settlement authority limits and ensures compliance with state and internal qualifications. Investigate, gather necessary documentation, negotiate and deliver timely settlements of claims Identify and research process/procedure gaps and develop plans to address Act as subject matter expert and develops less experienced representatives Adjust claims by evaluating and negotiating claims settlement Use investigative and negotiating skills with clients, claimants, attorneys and medical professionals Determine reserves needed and ensure they are applied Manage file through gathering of info through written or phone interactions and securing necessary documents such as police reports, death certificates, medical details, property repair estimates, and witness statements, as needed to settle claim.
